What another beautiful day, at least until the rain rolls in later this evening, knowing the forecast was not gonna be the best this weekend I wanted to get some more work in with Mara.
We started off rough, she tried biting me twice in the stall when I was needing to catch her, but I’ve got to say after that little hiccup in the beginning of our time together today she was absolutely wonderful.
Today we worked on several things leading backing up, turning on the hunches, brushing her main and forelock, creating a bridal path and worming her
The organization reached out to me after coming home with Mara explaining her medical needs. They also expressed that Morrow was very unhappy when the vet was trying to work on her only the essential was able to get done at that moment
Getting her wormed today is a crucial part in getting her system on the right course. Today she was wormed with safeguard, she will also need Ivermectin in 7 days and then a Quest Plus in 15 days.
I have received her backstory, which I will post in a couple days
Mara came from a place in Georgia, where the iron levels are super high. With that being said she is in need of some dietary changes that I am looking for sponsors to help us along our 100 day journey to get her levels back to a normal state. She needs more copper and zinc along with vitamin E
I will put the links into the comment section of what was recommended for Mara!
If you are willing to be a sponsor for her needs please message me!!!
Throughout the years, I have had many people comment on how they enjoy the explanation I give during training sessions….so I made a YouTube video for anybody who was wondering how to introduce the worming process to your horse or even if you would like to improve how your horse Acts during warming! Feel free to check out my video, Maybe there’s something that could help you out!
